It was a beautiful Saturday morning when a small group of talented men had gathered at the Training lab. The beginning was slow but it soon gained pace. The occasion marked the beginning of a new phase of development of the members of EDGE.
The gathering adopted a setup of an interactive seminar where seminar delivery was not the only issue. As the name suggests, the audience had ample opportunity to clarify their doubts through a lot of interaction during the seminar.
The central theme of the seminar was SUCCESS in life. The speaker tried to form a link between ‘SUCCESS’ and ‘A BURNING DESIRE TO ACHIEVE’ – with real life examples. He focused on the importance of an aim and a purpose in life. Quoting Thomas Edison’s words, “I have not failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”, he directed their attention towards the importance of a ‘Burning Desire’. He said, “A burning desire is the starting point of all accomplishments. Just like a small fire will be put out by a slow breeze and a large fire spreads faster with the wind, a weak desire dies easily while a strong desire grows stronger in the middle of failures and all adversities.
Towards the end of the session, everyone had a chance to come on stage and speak their mind and the feedback suggested that the event turned out to be a successful first step.
[ CONCLUSION ]
The participants went home with a task in their mind. That is, to think deeply and make a decision about their long term goal in life as a first step towards living a life that is a success.
